三州府是华人对槟榔屿、新加坡、马六甲组成的英属海峡殖民 (Straits Settlements) 的俗称。《三州府文件修集》原是殖民政府培训公务员的华文读本，1894年在新加坡出版。此教材由海尔 (G. T. Hare) 主编，分三册七卷，共收录383篇函件，内容包括民间向殖民地政府上呈的禀帖、中英政府的告示、各类商业和私人往来书信、遗嘱、申请书誓词、章程、条规、合同、借据、序文、议论文、咨文、照会和奏章等，不一而足。原书现珍藏于新加坡国家图书馆缮本珍藏部。《三州府文件修集选编》只摘录其中162篇与早期新马华人社会有关的文件。本书可说是一座宝库，存放着大量19世纪新马华社信息，与底层人民的生活样相，研究《三州府文件修集》会有不少惊喜发现，是一部不可多得的社会史资料。

新加坡玉皇宫位于直落亚逸街天福宫隔邻， 1831年由36名土生华人组成的闭门组织庆德会所修建，供奉玉皇上帝和三官大帝。庆德楼向来不对外开放，2010年由新加坡道教协会接管后易名新加坡玉皇宫，2012年斥资380万元整修，2015年向公众开放。本书共收录15篇文章, 四个章节 : 吾道其南、受禄于天、古迹新颜、回首前尘,概述了新加坡的道教景观、从庆德会到玉皇宫的历程，以及庆德会作为国家古迹的修复经过。全书400余张照片，由新加坡历史学者柯木林主编，有精装、豪华两种版本，豪华版书名以庆德楼180年古木雕刻而成，值得珍藏。本书亦获新加坡国家文物局部分资金赞助。
